Music Groups/ChoirsThe Music Ministry consists of volunteer groups of individuals under thedirection of the Coordinator of Music Ministries who assist in leading thecongregation in prayerful liturgy. We have a small folk group that leads themusic at the 5 PM Mass, a choir at the 11 AM Mass and a number of groups thattake turns leading the music at the 9 AM Mass. We also have a Children's Choirthat practices at 5:30 PM on Mondays (right before Catechism) and sings at the11 AM Mass on the 2nd Sunday of the month beginning in November. Ushers also ensure seating for all members ofthe congregations, as well as ensuring proper temperature, lighting, andgeneral comfort. Ushers are responsible for the collection and safety of themonetary Mass offering. These individuals are also responsible for the Mass Kits tobe taken to the care homes and residences, as well as ensuring an adequatesupply of Altar Bread and Wine.Sound Technicians Individuals responsible for operating the sound system at all functionsoccurring in the church - Masses, weddings, funerals, presentations, etc... Liturgy CommitteeIndividuals responsible for the various liturgical ministries along with anyinterested people come together several times a year to assist the parish priest in planning and preparing for the various liturgical celebrations and seasonsthroughout the church year. Emphasis is put on harmoniously bringing allconcerned persons together as one symphonic group whose primary goal is toenable the congregation to offer fitting worship to God. Altar SocietyThis group of parishioners is practically responsible for the procurements,maintenance and cleanliness of the altar cloths, banners, cassocks, flowersand seasonal displays and requirements. Communion MinistersMembers of the parish who are chosen by the pastor andaccepted by the Archbishop, then trained to administer theBody and Blood of Christ to the congregation as well as to thesick and shut-ins.
